Challenge

Interactive thumbnails increase product engagement.

Naturally, organic conversion its what follows.

The goal with interactive thumbnail is to allow the user to navigate the product gallery quickly while learning more about the products listed.

Also, by displaying a secondary image as the user hover it, we anticipate what’s coming up, which creates engagement with the navigation experience.

Showing more about the product without needing to click or navigate to another page feels good, increase product engagement as well as session duration in the shop page.

Is the visual the most important piece of information for users browsing the product gallery?

Challenge

True Responsive and Adaptive Web Design.

Deciding on the proper approach.

Invite your developers into the conversation as early as possible. Discuss coding restrictions and align your visions for the project.

Determine the differences and similarities between page elements and develop common patterns for page templates.

Provide your developer with a style guide.

This approach will save time and give a consistent feel to the site.
Adaptive design uses a series of static layouts based on breakpoints.

When designing adaptive, design for these six common screen widths: 320, 480, 760, 960, 1200 and 1600.

True responsive design is fluid, using CSS3 media queries to respond to any screen sizes. With the use of this CSS3 module, you can create a flexible grid where text can wrap and images can shrink to adjust along with your browser.

Be available for QA or an initial walk-thru of the coded files to ensure that each page renders as you had envisioned.
